Hey everyone, new to the site and new to Las vegas. I am T9-T10 incomplete with SEVERE nerve pain which is really starting to wear on me and make me depressed. I am looking for disabled people I can relate to, like a support group kind of thing. I feel if I can play basketball or do some type of activity, I will feel much better, as of now, I want to amputate my legs because they are causing me so much pain! Also, if you have tried the baclofen pump, how has it worked for you? Thanks
Why tiptoe through life to arrive safely at death?

I'm a C5 incomplete. Not in Vegas (I'm near San Jose, CA) but there is plenty of on-line support on this site.

Everyone has different experience with nerve pain. Although not gone, mine has certainly diminished when compared to immediate post injury. Baclofen is for treating spasticity and not your nerve pain. I weened off of it myself (I didn't like the side effects). You might check with your physician on controlling your nerve pain.

Exercise definitely helped me with mine early on.

Nerve pain is the WORST!!!! I have tried everything from pills, injections, burning off nerves, surgeries, and last year they implanted a SCS (spinal cord stimulator) and it has helped, but not near as much as the doctors all thought it would...but it was my last option.

I am not in or even anywhere near Vegas (though would love to visit!!), but if you ever need to vent...feel free to send off a message to me :) This website is a great support system, even though we are all spread out all over the globe :)

whoaaaaa!....cutting off legs doesn't stop nerve pain...nerve pain is from your dmg nerves in spine not legs...my legs have been gone for nearly 2 years and my feet and legs hurt like hell every day...you need to take some time and research your injury plus nerve pain cause/effect
