Hey there,

I just got an Easystand Evolv through my DME and I LOVE it... I used to hate to stand, not anymore. What is your ability to transfer like? I would give the standing frame a 5/5. There's a lot I could tell you but if you could be a bit more specific I could help you in a better way...

Hey thanks for the feedback, my transfers are good. Thankfully I was in great shape previous to my accident.

I used a standing frame daily while I was in the rehab hospital, but it was quite dated and old school but I did find it certainly helped me reduce the tone and spasms in my legs.
I have an opportunity to buy the evolv at a really fantastic price but wanted to get some real opinions before I pulled the trigger on purchasing it.

Bite the bullet and do it.. I used to have a dated frame and had a hell of a time getting in it so I just didn't but with standing the key is consistency which is easier said than done :) Good luck with it and keep me updated... I'd like to hear how it goes for you

is that the wheelchair that stnds you up or what is it? i am new too all this. my injury was on july 1st 2010. i don't know much about anything or equipment. i am just now starting outpatient rehab on friday. i only got two weeks of it for the month i was in the hospital. having medicaid helps but takes forever to approve anything.

Hey
It's actually just a standing frame, so it stands you up and I don't think it's meant to be moved while standing.

Hey Sugar,

The Easystand is not a standing chair as Laroque said but, it can have a mobile unit on it so you can propel it like you would your wheelchair (if you use a manual chair)
