I might fulfil to a cross section-paralyzed young woman in last summer a dream. After Michaela over and over again saw the countless paragliders in the space of Meran, she expressed the wish to fly last year towards a friend. Shortly after a flight which was also accompanied by a camera team was organised.
At this point still big thanks to the start assistants.

Ps: One sees the first ten metres after the start the strain, then the relief (Michaela could made nothing in the case of a ground touch). Quite a special experience also for me.

Martin

sorry for my bad english :)

How and where do you get into this. Love the idea of doing this, but would love to do it somewhere really organised to begin. (UK based)

If you have one foot in the past, and one foot in the future, you are probably peeing on today

You need to look at calvert trust in the lake district. They run one paragliding course a year. There are scolarships for it as well

I did lots of paragliding prior to my accident, which incidently was a paragliding crash, and have flown both on tandem and solo since.

I still love it. but logistically is way more difficult than before just rolling up with your bag.

big open launches like you get in the UK and Europe are great. a bit of breeze makes it much easier.

here are a couple of videos of me flying,
