I recently purchased a new Ford full-size van. I went out of state because the services offered locally are very poor. It has a Braun lift on it. I am having trouble with the van not responding when I go to wake it up with the remote. I unlock it first, then use the lift remote and press open. Sometimes it does work. Other times nothing will happen and the lights for the interlock system on the dash do not come on. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Does this indicate a bad interlock system that needs to be replaced?

Had a similar problem with a Dodge Entervan. When you press the remote the door opens, the ramp comes out and the van kneels. Would work from inside but not the remote. I thought maybe it's like a computer and needs a re-boot. Disconnected the vehicle battery and re-connected and everything was fine. Happened again when the battery drained and I did the same thing with the same result. Could also be a weak battery in the remote. Hope this helps.
