Hello everyone, i need some major help, i need a car a.s.a.p cuz my broke down and not worth fixing. I am a para and want to purchase a four door so badly but i already hate getting in and out of my '97 Grande Prix which is a two door and find that a four is alittle more work. However, i've seen people who have driven four doors but never knew anyone personally to ask. Does it get easier to bring the base of your chair over into the passenger seat? (i have a quickie GPV, however, i'm upgrading i think to a Quickie GT, i think, still in process of trying some chairs out) Is there a speacial way to do it without kickin' your interiors ass on the way in, not to mention the inside? How about interior protectors, do those exist without looking tacky? Any sugggestions would be greatly appreciated or any extra info. Thanks so much everyone! P.S i'm looking at the Acura TL as my four door

Thanks Desperate in Vancouver

I have tried 4 door cars and I find them absolutley frustrating...I find you do more damage to the 4 door's interior than would a 2 door because the space between the driver and the steering wheel is usually smaller and the B Pillar is much further forward which limits space. I currently own a 2005 Honda Accord 2 Door and I can easily take off the wheels..put them in the rear seat behind the driver then take the frame and put in back behind the passenger seat without touching any interior materials. I simply have not been able to do that with four door cars.....no matter how big they are. 2 doors also have the advantage in that the passenger seat usually flips forward in one motion to allow passengers into the back seat which make it easy for wheelchair users to get that chair in the back seat as fast as possible. I have always put my chairs in the back seat but I don't have kids so thats what works best for me.
