Maybe someone out there can shed some light on this strange feeling I have. I have been in a chair a long time and have had MRI's done on my spinal column many years ago. But I just wonder if I just saw a more qualified surgeon if things would be different. I have this on my mine, even though I am a T4 complete, because of these following reasons: I don't have any feeling to the outside touch but I have feeling on the inside of myself. I experience pain when something is wrong where ever the injury is (this is not that so called "fantom pain") whether it might be in the groan or foot or elsewhere, I feel it. I know when I need to shift my weight on my bottom because it starts to hurt. I can feel when it is time to use the toilet with either number. If I concentrate on my toes and try to move them nothing happens but I know I am reaching my toes mentally because I can feel the signal reaching the toes plus pain will develop in the foot. This strange feeling I have is like some little thing is keeping that signal from reaching the rest of my body. It's like I am one little bone chip away from getting reaction. Maybe times have changed and there is a better method than MRI's to examine the injury site. If anyone has an opinion about this or can recommend a surgeon or clinic that does nothing but spinal exams with a nationally known reputation I would sure like to hear from you.

hi! How did you get your injury and for how long now? Are you diagnosed as complete or incomplete?
