over the last few weeks Ive developed what I can only describe as attacks of itching in my hands and feet. I thought it was cold related even though Ive hardly been out the house for a couple of weeks now.
It starts very suddenly with a small itch on the sole of my foot, somewhere that seems unscratchable. Within a few minutes it has spread into the whole of both my feet as high as ankles. it is unbearably painful a sort of cross between itching and being stung a thousand times. It makes me cry out loud and rip my socks and shoes off and scratch to try and get some relief. It often spreads into my hands as well and Im scratching until they are bright red. Sometimes it goes on for about an hour and sometimes its a quick attack that fades. There seems to be no pattern to when it starts and for how long it lasts. I definatly dont have any fungal or skin conditions. my skin looks totally normal with no bumps of anything like that.
I havent been to the Dr yet, I should I suppose but its nearly Christmas and half of me cant be arsed. Any suggestions would be helpful.
cheers

The sister-in-law had same thing as what your describing but it was her arms and hands aswell when she was pregnant. It turned out to be quite a serious problem to do with her Liver doing dodgy things. Better off getting it checked out i would say also if it hasnt gone by Monday.
I do it erratically, often with bits fallling off.

I have the same condition due to a lower spinal cord injury. Mine is from the waist down following the nerves down the back of the legs into the feet. Unfortunately, mine is 24/7 and can be partially remedied with a good stiff hairbrush. Also, soaking or showering with REALLY HOT water helps to sort of numb everything out for awhile. Lyrica helps but is expensive, I take gabapentin.
You may have a slightly pinched nerve in your pelvic/lower back area.
