Hi, my huband is a c5-6 incomplet break, at the moment we live in a dorma bungalow but we are looking at moving, i would like to add more option by looking at houses and having a bedroom upstairs and wondered if anyone hade any experance with wheelchair stairlift's, i am thinking they would be cheeper and easier to install in a house as apposed to a actuall lift!!!!
Thanks

Hi- I have a stairlift which we installed so I could come home. It gets me from a to b (slowly!)!!! It causes great amusement to my children and their friends, one who thought it was a roller coaster until he saw how slow it goes!!!! (sometimes at night i think that by the time i get to the top i will already be asleep!!!) The downside is when it breaks- which has happened about six times. I am lucky in that I can almost always get off it, and I have a strong hubby who can lift me too- but given that it can be a few days until they come and fix it- it sometimes is a pain! We are currently building a bungalow and will then be selling our house, and stairlift. I,m really looking forward to being on one level, but with two young children it's more of the practicalities that make me want to be on one level!
