I am getting used to having the normal stiffness - feel like a board - stand up and balance and try to take a stiff step - but today its all over both sides, hand and fingers pointing straight out so stiff - lower back and upper back stiff and burning and even up into my shoulder joints, not burning here but just creaky and hard to move and the most horrible thing is when it goes into my head - tingling around the eyes and cheeks and my tongue is tingling. This is really a bad day. I have done some stretches but doesn't seem to loosen up and went to the gym upstairs and got on the bycyle for 15 min but I'm still stiff as a board. What the heck do i do? Call the dr. and it takes weeks to talk with him. I put an electric hot pad on my back which seems to help, and i guess I will just put it in different areas and maybe lay down and hope it will pass. what the heck do you all do when you are having an extra hard spasticity day? (take an extra dose of baclofen?)

I wish I knew the answer to your question.. I'm complete, but the spasms are killing me! I've decided to have the nerve severed! Very drastic action, but I can't bear it anymore!!!

Does a hot bath or shower help? It really loosens me up for a good while.

thanks Danny thats just what I did, took an extra 10 mg and I guess it helped ... that and distraction .. I got on my scooter and went to the store and then came back and watched a good movie and fell asleep. Thats the problem with Baclofen it does make you sleepy but at least I wasn't so frustrated physically. thank you all for your help.

I also found an aqua center that had a 90F therapy pool and that has been a real lifesaver -- its so wonderful that i can now exercise muscles that have been inactive for a year. Thanks to the "access" van I can get dropped there for only one dollar as it is quite a long distance away.
