Hi there, new to the forum. Hope I found an appropriate place for this topic. I am a therapist working with a young woman with Diabetes and recent spinal cord injury. She has no active finger movement/grip. Does any one know any products which can help her be independent in monitoring her blood sugar? For extra credit: anyone know a technique for insulin injections?
Thanks in advance!!

I wish I could help more, I'm a type 1 Diabetic but don't have a SCI. I can't help to much on ways for her to test her blood sugar, for insulin she could look in to a pump. It would give her some independence and the infusion site only needs to be changed every 3 days, she would most likely need some help with that but far less then many shots a day. I have the Omnipod insulin pump, it's the only pump that is tubing free.
