I took delivery of a TiLite ZRA 2 in August 2010. So far I have had nothing but grief with the back rest mechanism. It keeps going all loose and rattly, nut heads keep shearing off and my posture is suffering. The dealer fitted a replacement backrest mechanism which was supplied by TiLite. But this does not seem to have worked?has anyone else had problems with this model?

Im in the same boat :/ my chair has exactly the same problem. I guess they forgot the fact that quads "hook" in the design of the chair. Epic fail. My vendor has replaced the mechanism twice in the last two months! The second time they actually machined a piece that was twice as thick as the original and nothing. Starting to get pissed off and begining to look at a fixed back. I know that i'll lose the adjustability but at least it wont collapse when im transfering!

Well folks I finally got my replacement Chair.
Delivered today brand new TiLite ZRa Series 2 my second attempt. All that was Sapphire is now Red Pepper, after all I went through with the old one and the back rest, hinges etc I really wanted to throw in the towel as some of you will remember but they offered me a complete replacement and I agreed.
It arrived this morning and I kissed good bye to the Sapphire piece of junk for ever, lets hope the curse went with it.
Only change was I went for the standard double caster forks and the 4" x 1.5" lexan soft roll instead of the single sided fork and the performance 4" x 1" ally wheel.
This way I can drop in ally soft rolls without any of the axle problems that we identified before.
It's taken a long time to get here but hopefully this one will be good and hold together.
Post photos soon.
