For a quad, all you need is the automatic shift and all that to be up top. My father-in-law had a quad and it was just made like that. No special adjustments so you can buy them like that. You are the exact same level as me (T10 incomplete) so you should have no problem balancing by hanging on. Well, unless you are going to be jumping or something. I never did that - just loved ridin' and still do!

Hey Jowie.
I have the complete set up "know How" that you need. I did my Suzuki LTZ400 a cpl years ago. I am racing Adelanto Grand Prix on Sunday. I will prob be in the bottom 25% but I don't care. I am a T5 complete para and there are no other disabled riders. If I finish the race, I am happy!

My son races quads and sometimes takes his boys racing.... One of my grandsons is Autistic and loves to race, even though he usually finishes last......What pisses me off is one time I over heard some kids saying [look at the retard] [LITTLE BASTARDS] needles to say after this ole cripple got done unloading my four word arsenal at the little f*@kers, they probably never went to another race....

I applaud you guys for not giving up.....

i road a quad bike recently on a farm for a few days with no modification and it was great.

it was a suzuki with auto gears and hand brakes, worked a treat and easy enough to get on and off, and also had great foot wells to keep my feet safe.

go get it. it really did give me a great sense of freedom.
