Hello,

I represent a second year engineering project group and we are currently attempting to design a cupboard that has selectable shelves that once selected will lower and come forth as to allow for a greater ease of access. I don't mean to insult or anger anyone, and certainly only have good intentions, but my knowledge of limitations to the current market alternatives, and how my project should be designed. We have a basic understanding of how it will work, but are looking to gather more information towards our project. We would greatly appreciate any input we can receive from as many individuals as possible, attached is a short survey, that again, we would greatly appreciate for as many willing participants to fill out and send to my e-mail x2009hdb@stfx.ca. To fill in the questions simple type in the space provided, or answer the questions with numbers in the comment section below.

Again thank you in advanced,
Chris and the Team

Sounds like a bunch of exhausted efforts on something that will only accommodate a select few. Universal Design is where it's at.
Why not aim for something we would all benefit from.
They already make shelving on pull down tracks, problem is the springs/pulley needed to secure the weight can counteract w/ its ease of use,.. too hard to actually pull n hold down. Fix that.
The cabinets arent intended for any one person, they were designed to cater to all walks of life, from midgets to able bodies with dexterity issues to the wheelchair bound.. that is the beautiful part of it all.
Good luck on your quest.. might have better luck sticking to issues you clearly understand.

You could offer something like a free i-tunes song or a joint or two for filling it out, just because we got time to spare don't mean it's free.
