Dude, let me give you a lesson in life.
1. nobody cares.
2. nobody cares.
A blog is no different to a little girl running home from school with excitement after little Jimmy smiled at her in class and she couldn't wait to get it into her diary.
Only now, they call them blogs and peeps now feel like they have something to share with the rest of the world....
Lesson two.
Use the time in bloggerland to do something useful instead of......

Sheesh...what a grouch.
welcome to the forum why-d.
I think if WOF had gotten out of the other side of his bed this morning he would have said that probably just about everyone here has been through what you've been through, or worse, so you might not get the level of interest you expected.
I dunno.
but it's good that you're getting it down. you've been doing the SCI thang for two years, so some newbies might get some benefit from your experience. Thats what this site is about.
I'll give it a read.
cheers

I think posting your blog on here might get some negative opinions, though. I'm all for people sharing their experience - whatever helps get your feelings out in the open. Some read, some write, some facebook like crazy. Here, though, I think most of us have gone through our own experiences and you might be preaching to the choir. Many of us have lived through similar experiences and the last thing we really dwell on are the things that bring back the unfortunate occasion. Thanks for posting, and brace yourself from some of the feedback you might get here.

I was in noway grouchy to the little dude, I was merely helping the little fellow out.
Showing him where his balls are, or so to speak.
Once balls are located, remove self from diaryland and do something worth while, something of benefit.
Yes, yawn to the whole "it's theraputic", shit happens, deal with it, next!!
Or is we Irish too manly for the rest of the world.........

Edited to add: Some could say forums are a waste of time too, so let's be consistent!

Well, that last line of WOF's is no question, it's just fact.

We once had a old dawg here, with a wild hair up his arse, made us smile and cringe with his beautifully twisted prose, now gone...greatly missed!
Along comes aging WoFie, grizzled teeth bared for all to see, burning ember still stuck way up his arse, enough time on his hands to bark at the newbies...keep it up there bro, it becomes you

the idea of sharing my experience was simply because I'm interested in others experiences. I certainly wasn't looking sympathy or suggesting that what i've been through is any more or less important or significant than every other single person that uses this board. but i did think that this might be a place where i could find people that related to some of the similar shared experiences that people with SCI go through. but thanks for correcting me on that. it's good to know for future reference.

By the way, nice conversational writing style, blog bookmarked for my unable to sleep nights...that are many
Don't mind WoF, someone let him out his cage...he's usually chasing nessie down, playing chess or sprinkling these Apparelyzed pages with his wisdom

As for woofy (WoF): well. He does dislike blogs - his (what's the word, woofy? wait --- ah:) perspective. There is more to this but I won't bore you with my lengthy explanation - not my business, anyway. (I'm serious about this actually, and respectful. Woofy: DON'T listen - not for your ears. DOWN!!)
In fact, do as rue said: Write - focus on those who do like your blog - joke about the others.
Feel welcome and do post on the forum.

Not all intelligent people are aware that not everyone is waiting with baited breath for their every word on every topic under the Sun and then some...sheesh...some blogs are a blast to blog into...others are inane blatherings of "I, I, I, me, me, me" that it's like: who the f*@k cares...who even told them that they could think...? I would not be so presumptuous as to ASS-U-ME...
...all this is NOT to say that I would view certain individuals on this site whom are known to blog thusly...no, no quite the contrary...I also look forward to that rare thing from a truly creative and interesting blog: words of wonder and awe...
...as for the rest of the (m)asses: please keep it down to a dull roar...some of us are trying to muse here...
and you know:
...if everyone is busy writing their own blogs...who is reading any of them..?

Anyone who criticises bloggers should maybe think twice about posting long rambling messages here.
