Hola. I am a 24/f w. a incomplete c5 fracture. I live in Mississippi and am only 8 months out from my injury. In September, I received one month of rehabilitation, kudos to Medicaid and vocational rehab. I know if I could have more aggressive impatient rehab, I would progress alot further in my recovery. However, the cost holds me back. Does anyone know of grants or resources for continuing rehab? I've searched alot but never seem to meet the criteria. Any information is greatly appreciated! :-)

Are you on Social Security disability? If so, they will pay for more rehab--you just have to have a fdoctor order it.

I've been researching and reading on SSDI trying to find more information on this. Do you know where i can acquire that? Also does this include impatient rehab?

Medicaid is different from Medicare...you will have to wait two years from the the commencement of SSDI to be eligble for Medicare...for now you are stuck in the throes of the lacking MEdicaid...

Have you contacted the Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program for MS? Along with Vocational Rehab? There is some funding for rehab, but be prepared to fight...perhaps check this thread for some info:

Here is th link for MS:

also maybe something useful here:

I wish you all the best...
