Hi

I used to live in County Dublin before becoming a wheelchair user i have been back 3 times since using a wheelchair and it os OK for access. There are not many accessible toilets around the city. I stayed in Temple Bar Hotel which is right by all the bars which is great if thats what you are there for. The Morrison hotel is great if your not on budget as its brand new, i haev not stayed there but the bar and nightclub are fullly accessible.
If you have any q's just ask.

Thanks

Piers

Lucy.

I live in Dublin, and I wouldn't have a clue about W/C friendly places to stay, (I suppose that's because I usually stay in my own house.

I recommend that you contact either the Spinal Injuries Action Association http://www.siairl.or...l/Main/Home.htm or the Irish Wheelchair Association http://www.iwa.ie/ for advice.

Good Luck

dublin is ok for a W/C. from my experience any hotel with 3 or more stars would be fine, anywhere in europe. i stay at 3* mostly and it's cool.

I went to Dublin a few years ago with an American Physically Challenged Youth team. We went over for 2 weeks for an adapted sports competition and traveled around the rest of the time. They actually housed us in a non accessible dorm at a school for the Deaf (smart right?) Other than that the rest of the city seemed accessible. If you get the change hit up the Guiness factory (they give you free beer) and it is all wheelchair accessible. We went to 2 other breweries that were also accessible. As far as curb cuts and all that goes it was amazing. Much better than many places in the US. Hope all this helps! Have fun!
