I just had two very interesting conversations with Mrs Noela Vallis who is the president of the Spinal Cord Society New Zealand.
They will be running clinical trials for spinal cord injury starting in New Zealand using OEG cells.

You can read the interview at www.StemCellsandAtomBombs.blogspot.com or visit their website at www.scsnz.org.nz.
You can also see another interview at www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXwpmg_68Hg&feature=related

Enjoy. She's a great woman!

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

Somehow I find the premise that he "cured his own SCI" laughable at best,, and disrespectfully fraudulent more likely. I don't doubt that his bout with an incomplete injury,, or possibly a severe case of spinal shock,, to have caused his interest in the field. I even hope that his research/product has merit. It's just that the idea that he used this idea/product on himself that I find ludicrous.

Again,, I would love to see this be of value,,, but" To make a long story short",, "Basicly",,, I think it more likely he is the huckster he appears to be.

Its funny how its always 10 year for cure. .. I read at least dozen of articles like this and they always come up with some weird predictions. I believe the first one was in 2007 ..10 years and you will be flying.. i bet 5 years from now it still gonna be 10 years ..never ending cycle. What i would love to see is some kind proof ..a documented case from western country with some kind of evidence. Unfortunately, I do realize its not gonna happen due to nature of SCI. What i learned over the years is not to get my hopes up. On the other hand maybe in 10 years ......

not...
