Okay, well I don't completely hate them because they help me to transfer into bed but I was wondering if anyone has tried the drug Skelazin? I've tried Baclofen, Somas, Flexeril, Zanaflex, and a whole lot of other crap to try to help reduce my spasms. Any advice on how to reduce them without medication would be appreciated as well! I stretch every morning and night and stay pretty active during the day. Just don't know what else to do.

According to my physio; Stretching, exercising, standing and lying prone (on your stomach) all help.
The trick is to find the best balance of the above to suit.
I found I was over stretching at one stage which was making thinks worse.
I have have pretty good mobility and I find a using a leg press calms them for a while but again, if I over do it they get worse..
I too, would love to get off the med's and have tried a couple of time's (I was almost off them once until a UTI set them off again) but a doctor whom I trust has said to wait until two years post..
Good luck,
J

Out of the gloom a voice said unto me, "Smile and be happy, things could be worse." So I smiled and was happy and behold things did get worse.

I know exactly how you feel - my feet and legs have been in spasm for almost two days now - my wonderful husband is away on business so I can't wear my night splints - I find that they overstretch without splints and once they start its really hard to break the cycle. At 4:00am this morning I took 20mg sevradol (morphine) and 20mg of diazepam and got about 2 hours sleep. I am knackered and my feet look like they have been in a vice and now I can't get my day splints on so its a day in bed for me.
