Hi - I seek help, advice, feedback and general comments.

At present we own two wheelchair accessible holiday properties in rural Andalucia and we are considering creating a third. If we create a third I want to tick as many boxes as possible, hence the question "What do guests want?"

I think I should quick off any discussions/invitation for feedback by telling you about my dream of our third self catering holiday property in rural Andalucia. I envisage a modern property that:
(a) is wheelchair accessible and all on one level
(:) independent, i.e. private, self contained and self catering
© of minimalist/modern design - I see it as being not too disimilar to a gallery of Modern Art with large windows overlooking olive groves, though some may see it more as a "boutique hotel" design in the middle of nowhere,
(d) private pool with hoist
(e) gardens and fountains
(f) spa/steam room ?
(g) gym?
(h) massage facilities?
(i) 2 double bedrooms, 1 double bed and 2 singles, both with accessible ensuite bathrooms
(j) lounge/dining area overlooking pool and gardens
(k) parking.

OK that´s a sketch of my dream to date and some people may say I need to wake up and get real but I like to dream - it´s worked so far. Let me know what ticks the boxes for that near perfect holiday accommodation

Hi Nigel -

It sounds wonderful. It sounds ideal!

Does "self-catering" also mean "no maid service"? To me, the entire point of going on holiday is for someone else to make the bed and plenty of fresh, clean towels.

Thanks!
Rebecca

Thanks Rebecca

Sorry perhaps I should have said.

Guests staying in our existing accommodation experience the following:
(1) bathroom towels provided and changed every other day
(2) bedding changed twice a week
(3) cleaning twice per week.

We do not plan to provide sunbathing towels.

We would not wish to change teh above existing arrnagements.

Our dream accommodation will also have air conditioning and we are dreaming of underfloor heating.

Kitchen - gas hob/electric oven, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, granite work top, no wall cupboards

Thanks
Nigel
