I just recently found out i'm six weeks pregnant. It took a long time due to fertility problems, so I am so excited and happy I finally have a little one on the way. My friends and family are very excited because they know how hard it was for my husband and I to make it happen. I know some people will probably think it is wrong for a paralyzed person to have a baby. I was wanting to know if anybody has had to deal with some people being negative towards you having a baby and how did you deal with it? Nobody has said anything negative so far, but i'm sure at some point it will happen.

Congratulations!
I think it's fantastic that you are having a baby and good on you for not letting your disability hold you back. I happen to know of someone who was a high quad (c5) who had a baby with her husband and whilst I'm sure there were the obvious and not so obvious problems and issues, as they say where there's a will there's a way!
Bottom line is, in my opinion, the most important thing any child needs is love and a safe place to grow and learn.
If you're able to provide that then you're not going to go far wrong! Sq x

Congratulations, I think it's wonderful!! You obviously put a great deal of thought into your decision to try. It's time for you and your hubby to enjoy these months and the anticipation of having a little one of your own. Ignore any nay sayers,I don't think I ever saw where walking was a prerequisite for motherhood. Please update us as time passes, my prayers will be with you...

Yeah, don't spend your time thinking about how to react to others "negative" responses. The IDEA of it isn't worth your time! Instead, worry about names, the wall color of the nursery, enrolling in nursery school (I hear those things are booked 4 years out) . . . etc.
And a BIG congratulations!
