Doing the ironing with no clothes on (i was ironing my trousers) the steam from the iron burnt my thighs. I never had any idea. Badly scarred now..... learnt very quickly to never do that again.

Hopefully you had boxers or such like on! Otherwise you may have steamed more than your thighs!
Added: My apologies as I think your female! Ironing is not really something you find many males doing!!

Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end!

I thought I'd be proactive by purchasing a pair of foot warmers for skiing to help avoid frost bite. Little did I know I was toasting my toes. It took several months before they began to heal. If I had feeling in my feet, I'm sure I would cry like a little girl with pain!

I have burnt myself twice before. The first was a tv dinner from the microwave that I placed on my lap (not smart) that left me a nice sized blister on my thigh and the second was the hot water I left running on the tub while sitting on my shower chair and texting. I didnt think the water got that hot. I was wrong
Yikes!

Lotsa "neet" ways to hurt yourself here...wish I'd thought of em. Heres a coupla more. You can get a bowl of hot chili dumped on your theigh, "didn't feel a thing", nice big blister from that, or maybe a bag of freshly boiled peanuts. That works well also. Say you spill some liquid on your bed, piss or fruit juice will work, and you decide to dry the bed off with a hair dryer...be very carefull where and how long you have it pointed at the same spot, and what setting it is on. I took the top layer of skin off the outside of my left leg the size of my palm, didn't have any idea it happened till I saw a large wet spot on my pants. Thankfully it was not in a pressure spot and healed in 3-4 weeks without any complications. Even after I learned to pay attention to using a hair dryer to dry myself or the bed when I spilled something on it, I put a half dollar sized spot on heal of my right foot that only raised a blister that also healed with no problems, and I thought I was paying attention! A good T6 friend once fried the skin off both of his shins, big time, through jeans, hanging out too close to a campfire drinkin beer and yaking at bike week one year. I'm sure there's a million other ways to do this when ya can't feel your skin, this thread could just keep going. Next...

Yeah, probably 20 times including usually a hot ash falling of a smoke on to my shirt or pants and burning through. The more serious ones include, sitting too close to a campfire, using a back massager while driving on a long trip which I didn't realize generated heat until I smelled my smoldering flesh, and mot recently, resting my left arm on a hot water supply pipe whilet shaving in a shower in Hong Kong. They take many months too heal. A TENS unit helped considerably.
