Hi,

That's cool it'll probably be too high and not covered by insurance companies ....... at least it's a beginning of possibilities of freedom from the chair getting those limbs mobile would be a beautiful thing. If it could be worn under clothing and compact in size even more freeing ...... has that Robo cop look , in time it'll be smaller hopefully." If we could only afford it."

I think this is very exciting, but I also remember seeing this woman in a documentary where she received embryonic stem cell injections, so keep in mind that she's an incomplete with some function/sensation. I think it's a great start and there are other orthotic robotic type models that they're using in the military that are catching on. I would love to see how the machines learn to compensate and balance when one of our back spasms kick in and try to throw us to the ground.

I met Dean Kamen a couple years back. He's the dude that created the Segway, which is like a little standing cycle machine, and it has a balance censor that will compensate for tipping. These two groups should get together and come up with something!
3 doctors diagnosed me with hysterical paralysis (weee!), 1 diagnosed an incomplete T7, another T2 and the last (and most accurate) T5. Trampolines are BAD. Sleep is unpredictable. And never kiss strangers. Life has moved on.

The fact it can be utilized by military will probably boost the development of those significantly. With the amount of money some govs (mainly US) spend on Army and the fact that the concept has huge potential this is something to look for in the future.
