Hi all, I'm 11 mo. into my injury, and I don't know what to expect, I sometimes feel like I can move my legs, but nothing happens, what is that a sign of? It's like I can feel the movement and all. And can a person have movement without theraphy first? Can a person move their legs without theraphy and all? Do the muscles have to be trained all over again or what? Any information would be greately appreciated.

You should probably spend some time trolling the forums as these types of questions have been covered extensively. The sensation you're feeling COULD BE something returning...though it could also be just muscle spasms wanting to start up on ya. It depends on how much nerve damage you have as to whether it (voluntary movement, standing, walking) can happen for you still. You're still in the time-frame where things can start to come back on their own just by the body healing itself but there are NO guarantees. Yes you can get some function back without help from PT but you'd have a higher chance of getting something back if you did HAVE PT. They didn't do ANY PT with you? Yes there is a certain amount of "re-learning" to do BUT that still requires that enough nerves are intact.
