Welcome to the forum
Sounds like your son will still be in the long process of recovering, often with spinal injuries from car accidents it can take up to two years just for the swelling to go down, so can be tricky this close to the injury to get definitive information about the level of injury and function. If you have some more information about the damage that occured as a result of the accident this would be helpful to people on here so that they can be a little more constructive in their responses.
Have a look around other posts on here too for information on how to prevent bed sores and there are bound to be people who can give you some good advice about treatment on here. Wish you and your son well.

Welcome to the forum, gulnara...I am sorry about your son's injury and hope he progresses and recovers as best as possible...these forums are filled with info and tips, and this site is filled with supportive people in your situation...as I am in the US, there are others better suited from the UK to answer some of your questions...in the meantime, check out these two threads for some information:

Has your son been to SCI Rehab? Has he received any rehab? I wish you well and ask us anything to help you along...

Welcome gulnara1. Oh what befalls us as mothers when our children are hurt. Listen to what the others told you; there is a wealth of information on this forum. When you have specific questions please ask no matter how trivial it may seem. Your son and you now venture on a long journey where you both will learn so much and this site will help you both.
Do you have a specific question on bed sores or breathing difficulty? How is his lung status? As far as bed sores prevention is the key. That's done by turning him regularly or is he in a special bed? Is he wearing adult diapers? If so he needs to have a barrier cream to protect his skin. Without knowing the specifics I can't advice you except with only general knowledge information. Don't be timid about being precise when asking a question.
Also fill out the profile with information that can help us help you ie: Is he in a chair, has he had sores before, is he swallowing, how's his mood, what's his weight, what's his diet, how's his lung status etc...his interests and yours etc...in the profile.
Bless you; he is one lucky boy to have a mother who will stand up and step in at a time of desperate need.

Hiya
Sounds like you need to get him into a local spinal injuries centre, think Southport Spinal Injuries Unit is your local one, as it sounds like he and you need some rehab. Don't just sit there till things (like sores) get bad. Guess your medical team should know your local options.
Alternatively call the help line at the spinal injuries association and ask their advice.

Good luck, and keep on here to check stuff out. Its a great resource.
