Sorry to hear you're suffering.
I had the worst night in about a year last night, couldn't lie down, couldn't sit up, spasms from my tip toes to my ribcage, AD headaches from hell, eventually gave up at 5 am did my bowel routine (after failing to transfer from my bed to Shower chair 4 times!) back to bed and took so many pills I felt nothing and basically passed out for about 3 hours then pain got me again.
Not looking forward to tonight to be honest.
I hope you have a better time tonight.

I am sorry to hear of your cry-out-loud pain. Has any sort of pain regimen or medication helped when you have been at this high level of intensity?
I live in the mountains in Northern California, USA. Medical marijuana is legal here. I am often encouraged to try this as an answer to days or nights with severe nerve pain due to barometric pressure change. I am very reluctant for a variety of reasons, one being that I don't want to feel drugged or "dopey". Is that something you have considered?

We'd all love to help but we don't know much aside from that you're in a LOT of pain.
Your wife is a blessing & am glad she is there for you.

2 tips that i have been given which will help to mediate the pain 1. having a bath (if this is an option for you; I must admit I haven't tried yet but will soon - wish me luck) 2. Activity. I suppose focussing on another task; meds numb your brain and help you to ignore pain rather than target the area which is hurting so I guess it stands to reason that trying to concentrate on another task may help????
I have become acquainted with someone who has been injured 10 years and he has been really helpful in suggesting ways I can 'solve' problems. I must admit when I have had bad nights when I'm so tired but I cant sleep due to pain or what ever the last thing I want to do is get up and 'potter' bu
I hope this is of some use.

I know it sounds hokey but I can usually quell my symptoms by using mental relaxation, at least to a bearable level. This may or may not work for all but it does help me some. The herb is what really helps, it works better than my Baclofen and Neurontin.

I just posted about similar pain. My post is a little long. I have found ibuprofen to help the most as it reduces the swelling. I take 600 mg every four hours not to exceed 2400 mg daily. Massage therapy focusing on "trigger points" along the spine and around the scapular help as well. I'm still trying to find the fix myself though. Hope this helps.
