Hi all

Just wondering has anyone installed any easy transfer plate to the car and if so what do you think of them

I don't know how large you are but, I suppose if you are larger and have enough meat covering your backside, then it could be helpful, especially if you are not strong enough to transfer without some kind of board. Otherwise you would need to be careful not to cause problems by using it to slide into the car and not lifting yourself, bit by bit.

I personally don't use anything, don't even have breaks on my chair, never have and have no problems transferring into the front or backs of cars, regardless of which side.

There is one other thing to thing about, should the worst happen and you get broadsided, then that plate has to go somewhere, so could become a danger in the event of an accident.

Personally I'd have a look at a car with one fitted and try it out, to see how you get on with it. It does seem a handy piece of kit and I could imagine it being very usefull for those less able/unable to get in and out on their own.
