Hi my name is Fiona, and my husand is tetreplegic.

I care for him full time on my own. We are in trying to see if any one in the Dumfries and galloway area would like to start up something

ie meet for coffee and catch once a month, swap ideas, problems or just to get out for day.

We have ask SIS if they can help or just give me information, waiting for them to get back.

I thought I would leave a post on this web site and see if anyone has any ideas of what they would like and where they stay?

If any one knows of anything that is all ready up and running can you let me know. Even if its somewhere else and it could give me some ideas.

I just feel that people come out of hospital with their life change and go home and feel they are the only person with a spinal injury out their or like me a carer that feels alone at times. Even if you have great friends, thier is somethings you can not talk to them about and they have know idea how you feel or what you have to do.

So i decided that i would try and start up a wee support group of our own.
Thank you
