I was read through this thread your choice of the word With My Last Push He Rocketed Out Of Me gave me a good laugh. I hope his landing was safe and nice photo.

:mfrlol: That's literally what it was like! It had taken so long to push him down and no one expected that last push to send him flying out. It's amazing to me that I gave birth almost 2 months ago. It's been just over 7 weeks since Noa was born and I'm starting to think about losing the baby weight that I gained. I will say having a newborn is mightily exhausting and I have a TON of support. I can't imagine doing it alone. He sleeps longer through the night now (a little bit) and I've introduced a pacifier so he no longer feels the need to be attached to my boob all night long and only nurses when he's hungry as opposed to laying there
'pretending to nurse' but not actually eating. He's a good baby though and he loves having his baths! I've made zero use of my stroller and just wear him in a sling pretty much all the time. It's been an incredible yet life-changing experience so far and it's only been 7 weeks!

Glad to hear it's going well Mimms, you should benefit as regards your weight and recovery as your breast feeding, although I've no idea how the SCI affects things compared to how AB's.
My wife always said it had a big effect over the first 2 or 3 months, particularly early on when she said she "felt it pulling her back into shape" as he lower level muscles tried to recover their normal state.

It's been almost a month since I posted an update in the Noa thread!

Noahlani is now 3 months old (as of Dec 30) and it was his 1st Christmas! I don't think he cared much--though he was utterly mesmerized by people's Christmas trees/lights--but it really made Christmas more meaningful and magical. He's doing very well! We are still exclusively breast feeding and I'm pumping so that others can feed him and bond with him but he prefers the boob (of course). He is a calm and loving little guy and he loves being held. I got a MamaRoo swing and that's pretty much his favorite thing right now. He's growing, he's healthy, and he's the cutest little man EVER! His eyes are still very blue and I hope they stay that way. I've started working a bit at the shop again and taking him with me since I'm nursing and he's the star of the show every time we're there! As for me, I'm still having a really hard time with my kidneys. I've not improved but I've also not gotten worse so neutral is ok for now. I finally feel like I'm starting to recover from the pregnancy but my trunk control has not nearly returned to what it was before I got pregnant but I have JUST started riding my horses again so I'm hoping to start regaining my balance and what not. I think we will be taking Noa's first trip in about a month, to Las Vegas! Woo!

Glad i wasn't drinking something when i read "of course he prefers the boob". LOL It's nice to hear things are going good other than your kidney thing and it sounds like you're really busy .......... it's a little late but have a HHNY and dont be too upset if he tinkles during a diaper change.
