I have recently returned from a ski holiday in Meribel, I have been having monthly lessons at Hemel Hempstead snow dome but had not "cracked it". I had a wonderful instructor, Dominik Jonas, and feel more confidant and even did a couple of red runs. Who out there has had a go

I have!

Lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvved it. Relates so much to able bod skiing its so easy to adjust.

I skied Winter Park. If you get a chance go. Look at Back Up for more skiing too.

Russ will hopefully see this he is a top skiier!

Life on the piste is great isn't it!

I was off to Chamonix but the snow was awful this year!!
Life is just to short not to have fun!

Yep, just back from Whistler, my 8th season in a row (been injured 8 years) and couldn't possibly miss a year, just Love it. Finally cracked control on black diamonds and even got into the powder and the bumps. Next years goal is heliskiing. Just about to order a new sitski too :)

Definately look up Backup - their trips to Winter Park are amazing.

i have been a skiier for 20 years. it the most fun i have had with my clothes on. i've skiied all over colorado. winter park and snowmass have a couple of worldclass programs. i have also tried park city and new mexico but that was 20 years ago and their programs were still quite new.

i ski yearly and i am a quad. i am always amazed to watch the expert mono-skiiers. still the dual ski suits me and i'm happy on my blue slopes.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

I gave it a go for the first time last winter ( yes we have snow in Australia too)
I'd love to get to the point where I don't need someone behind me if I fall and to help me onto the lift.
But the nearest snow to Western Australia is several thousand Km's away and it's not really viable.
Still, I had a great time and want to try Canada next.

I'm an adaptive instructor at Beaver Creek. I've only bi skied with a harness though I really want to mono ski! I was just recently injured and grew up outside Vail and have skied since I was 2. I'm absolutely going to have it continue to be a big part of my life!

I Love Love Love it. I am a 4 track skier and a 3 track snowboarder! I took my very first ever ski lesson Jan 26 2010. I love it so much I rent a room from a great lady for the winter right below the small resort I learned at. About 5 min to be in there parking lot. This coming season I am going to tackle mono ski as it would be less painful on my back and legs. Last season I got to go to Sun Valley Idaho. That was totally awesome. I belong to DSUSA and they go to Mammoth once a month and since we are a disabled group they comp our 3 day lift tickets. So I go with them as much as I can. I can ski black but just getting there on my board.
This is me on top of Cornice at Mammoth. Look forward to hearing all about everyone's skiing stories!!!

Hi my name is Joel and this is my first winter after my accident 2 dec 2010. I would really try skiing this season. I will try stand up skiing beacause im a "good" walker but i think I will go with the sit ski the most. Is it hard to learn by yourself or do you have to go with a skischool? Here in sweden there arent alot of skischools for sitski. Would like to hear from you

Joel
