I just read somewhere else the idea to check your skin using a USB web cam.

I thought that this is bloody brilliant idea as I cannot as I'm sure many others also cannot really bend and twist properly to check all the areas that I should check with a mirror, even a long handled one!

What better idea than a web cam on a wire connected to your laptop you can roll about on your bed to you hearts content filming your least seen areas and review the recording on the laptop.

How clever is that? or am I just way behind the times!

If you think it's usefull spread the word I'm sure a lot of people may find this a lot easier.

LAST THOUGHT THOUGH REMEMBER TO DELETE THE VIDEO AFTER YOU HAVE LOOKED AT IT. could start a you tube craze if you're not careful, wait maybe I'm way behind the times on that one too, probably a Devo site for that as well.

Just be sure to wear a mask, Colin,, and you might find a new source of income. Devos might have a use after all.

Good Ideal , to use a webcam

Yup, go with the mask idea. Once you are good at camera angle you can invite a friend over to roll around on the bed with you, inspiring us all.

I've never bothered with checking my skin.. Maybe I'm just stubborn, but or too self-assured, but I haven't had a skin issue behind me yet.. Besides, I don't think I could twist and turn that much anyway, so this is a great idea if I ever do decide to start checking.. ;-)

Of course it's a good idea - especially if you can't do it any other way. I'm going to use it to try and catch a glimpse of my dick before it retreats into it's burrow again. Perhaps time lapse would help for this.

Hi Colin

I think anything that helps in the fight against skin break down can only be a good thing. Catching a potential problem early before it has time to become a major issue is the name of the game.

I never thought of a webcam. When my husband had a sacral area breakdown some years ago I used the digital camera to record progress and so he could see what was going on.

Also you can send digital pics' to the spinal unit and they will have a look and advise accordingly. Not sure about sending a movie tho. :mfrlol:

Just to clarify I meant a web cam recording onto your laptop only! not live to the web! I may be a bit slow sometimes and stubborn but I'm not completely stupid!

Hey Tin if you want to go down that road you need to ask Lea for some advice, also I suspect a good plasterer and painter too.

Sorry my old mate but you walked into that one with both your eyes open! :wink05: :yahoo:

i think whatever works best for you. go for it. others would benefit but probably wouldn't admit it. i hate the thought of seeing my bum after all these years. i haven't seen it in 24 yrs. scary scary.. don't to mention depressing. it used to be my best feature.

sounds like a great tool for you. no post cards please.
