My grandfather has been a C4 -C5 High quad for over 30 years now. At the age of 69 he has beat many of the odds. Recently he was taken to the hospital by ambulance and after several hospital errors and numerous tests it was discovered that he had an aortic aneurysm. Then after even more hospital errors he was transfered and emergency surgery was performed. He made it through surgery like a champ, but is having many post-op difficulties. Even at the best hospital in the state of Iowa, no one seems to grasp the concept that his body is in pain despite the fact that he can not feel. It is my hopes that my grandfather can have yet another miracle and survive yet another bump in the road. I come to all of you to find out if any one knows of a highly educated specialist that we may contact to help the Drs. at the U of I understand my grandfathers condition. He has made it clear that he wants to beat this, so know it is our job to help him. All of your help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

A concerned grand-daughter
