It could be.....but I wouldn't put all your eggs in THAT basket if I were you. It seems that MANY OF US just seemed to get more nerve pain as time rolls on.....not 100% sure WHY but studies are showing this to be an all too common trend for us. It could be that the body just starts running out of reserve energy to KEEP TRYING to heal itself so the body after a while "gives up" or like just about anything once it's severely damaged it's a fight to keep it from falling apart whether it be an old couch, the P.O.S. car shading the weeds in your back yard or US....they just never seem to stop needing repairs just to keep them functional.

I'm in the same boat next Monday is 2 years for me and my pain and spasticity have gradually got worse over the last 5 months. Pain now causing major changes in drugs and now as many other members know I am really having a tough time. Good sleep is a dstant memory, I used to look forward to the relaxation of my bed now I almost fear it as I am almost more comfortable sitting in my chair. Sleep is a couple of hours of chemical unconciousness then pain wakes me and I'll usually catch about another hour sitting bolt upright in installments between 2.30 and 5 or so. Always up before 6 and the Merrygoround starts again.
Does any of this sound familiar?

Impossible only describes a problem that needs viewed from a different perspective

I am very fortunate in the amount of return I got after my injury. I am truly blessed in that I have no neuropathic pain. I don't believe the two are related.
Good luck.

Yes, all very familiar to me. I am four years in August and my neuro pain and spasticity have just taken a upward hike due to the return of sensation in my up until now dead right side.
Oh the joys of this affliction
