Are you complete or incomplete? Do you have sensation?
I had a similar problem earlier this year where I was sweating profusely when sat in my chair.
It turned out that I had pulled my hamstring muscle through a spasm most likely although it could have been caused by something else.
By elevating my leg onto a chair the sweating stopped because we take the weight off the pain stimulus which was the hamstring being compressed by the weight of me sitting on it.which is why the problem did not affect me in bed.
If there are no obvious skin or pressure issues or problems with your cushion or backrest perhaps you could try elevating both legs alternately to see if one is causing the issue.
I then had to do a programme of gentle stretching, anti-inflammatories and some leg exercises to resolve my issue but it did take a number of weeks.

hi javaftper
i had this problem at the beginning when i was in spinal shock. So yeah its terrible to deal with. Now I just get it with AD attacks but me body tempreture is still all over the place in other ways.
Two little bits of help until they find a reason - it may not help at all yet i couldnt just sit here and say nothing:
1. talcom powder can help absorb the sweat a little
2. botox is meant to help with some sweating causes but not all - which ones, i'm not sure of am sorry
I hope you get your answers soon. If you can put your feet in water, this helps regulate overheating, even if you cant feel the tempreture like me

Fastwheels,
Are you on any type of steroids like to manage symptoms or swelling? If so it will cause extreme sweating, but if it is becoming too much of a problem, I would check with my Dr. because mine told me dehydration is easy to occur when one sweat profusely, so make sure you watch that, please. I pray you get some relief soon! Pinkcloud idea about the power also will help some too until something can be done. Wishing you well!

So no sweats when lying down/sleeping?
If that is the case, it is the opposite to what I suffered on and off for a good few years. Too add to the advice given above, have you had a pressure sores on any of the areas which come into contact with your chair?
It turned out my bed sweats were related to undiagnosed oseomylytis, after suffering from sores to both hips, over the previous 15 years of me being in a chair. It only became apparent when I had an apsus on my knee and I needed hospitalising, for the treatment. Now my bed sweat have gone, yeah they come back sometimes but, that is due to my spasms being up, usually realted to be ill in some way, shape or form.
The other thing it could be related to is you fluid flow, over filled bladder causing back pressure on the kidneys can cause it. I sometime get it, very little now after 26 years in a chair, as I have different ways of dealing with the bladder issues however, it may be something for you to look at.
Anyway, good luck finding out the cause. I know what it feels like/how it make you feel(as I'm sure many here will agree with) and what effect it can have on life in general.

i'm experiencing the same problem but I can't find out the cause.
I've no sensation below my injury level, how did you find out about the hamstring compression?

I have the same problem! Most of the time I am sweating sometimes I just feel like it but I am not! I sweat below my break and everyone says that SCI patients don't sweat below their break, but I am here to say that they are full of crap! I get washed twice a day and change my shirt then as well, but within three hours or sooner. After washing, I feel like I am soaking wet from sweat again! And that is ongoing and annoying! Let me know if you find a solution to this, please!
Imagine what I do when I need to laugh or feel better. Imagine a purple hippo standing up straight wearing pink clown shoes and juggling lime green Jell-O squares!
