ok now had time to think and they may get lost in the other post

Questions are

How do I mange housework and washing dishes when i can not reach the sink .The p/t dishwashers I have grumbles and moans and does not do a good job ,is it time for a new dishwasher

Housework

Unfortunatley this still needs doing though i now have dam good exscuse for not ironing

Lightswitches how on earth do I reach them or do i need to get myself a torch head strap one as need keep hand free for essentials like my coffee

ok not a whine~( take note WOf) but has anyone found on London buses that you can get two wheelchairs on purley pratical as much as some days the thought of some peace and quiet on the bus without the kids will be tempting .do think at 6 he may be a tad to young to abandon in London on his own for a day .And who am i going to race in the museums

Though the teens well they can stay and i shall just wave to them and maybe ind them later to feed them or maybe not depending if feeling like taking out a bank loan that day

I manage the sink sitting on a kitchen chair. Tends to get water all over the place where it runs down your arms, but it is do-able.

Light switches - Sounds as though you need to make two trips. One to turn lights on, second to carry stuff.[/quote]

Can't help with the London buses. Wouldn't go anywhere near London if you paid me. Too many [s]arseholes[/s] people for my tastes.

well well well where do i start here,,, If you cannot do your house work ,yourself like many others in our situation you should be entitled to some kind of home help for a few hrs aweek ,especially having a disabled, child too.You should also be entitled to a "helping dog "These animals are specially trained to do household tasks .For example taking out and putting in laundry, answering phones and opening doors etc ,,this may be worth looking in to.

right for the washing -up i have a non adapted kitchen and wash -up every night and the wife drys i just park my wheelchair side-ways on at the sink and get the dishes done .

Light switches i had mine installed at my level but ,my house as not always had light switches at my level,so i used a short stick to do the job.

as to london buses get writting to Boris Johnson (GOOD LUCK}

OH why not look see if theres some free charitable organisations in your aera ie to take you shopping etc

I have a NEW question . . . why not keep things on the same thread?
Starting a new one every 6 hours is getting hard to keep up with you. -lol

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

Go on Mr Bounce give mad space :-)

These are new questions she asks re Boris' Buses - like how on earth do you get a disabled hotel family room with space for 2 kids in London??

Impossible!!

So we can't even take our kids to those lovely museums she is mentioning when we come from the sticks. I refer back to her older post, things are never the same for everyone, whatever their level.

I xx

Of course I mean no offense, but I asked madhouse a question in an "older" thread (one day older, that is), and it was overlooked.
So, keeping things simple will make it easier, rather than going back and forth between 3 different threads.

I am a London arsehole, no way would you get 2 wheelchairs on a bus! It's bad enough fighting the buggies for a space sometimes!

None taken Mr bounce sorry if I missed any questions have found where that thread went and answered what you aske don there ,am just trying to work out where to post lol sheesh think I am going to go get myself a dunce cap in the moment and wheel myself into a corner :wink05:

I decided that some of the questions where I went head to heand with WOF :swordfight: , may have got lost while we was digging at each other and that people may have seen the sniping at each other and not read any further .Figured maybe time to let that thread die as others may find it offputting .Me i have skin like a rhino so bounced of me .But am aware others may not have .

So thought I would start a new thread ,with where the questions are very obvious and clear for everyone to read ( take note WOF :tease: )

Buggys I am not quiet so when take my sons chair out locally I would loudly say if the bus driver did not .I ask politley first ,then next time I point out the sign that buggy need to fold if wheelchair user wishes to board.Shy and quiet I am not ok I amy even qualify on occasions for that arsehole tag .
But thank you need to rethink on how to do London as a day out if got all the kids .

Lightswitches are pretty high but will go with using stick to whack them or get some of my slave sopps children to help .And look at dishwasher had been thinking about itbefore this but was case of justyfing the cost though must admit this is a bit o extreme way to justify it
