A few people have told me theirs is definitely affected, and mine has gotten worse the last few days as a storm came through but i'm not sure if its a coincidence. Seems kinda crazy they would be related to the barometric pressure.
Any one experience this?

I haven't heard about it being linked to barometic pressure, but it may depend on your type of injury, and if you had any hardwear to stabalise your vertebrae.

At times spazzes are ok an can be benificial, but not when going from inside to out of a store and it hits because of the temp difference...theres not much you can do but let it ride out while holding up people behind you

Hi whaler rpl
I believe that it sure does, before sci I had arthritis in me knee and would be able to tell when it was going to rain. The pain was like toothache.
The doctors didnt believe such 'poppy pop' and even snubbed of them copper ring bracelets farmers wear. I showed them me knee swelled just before it rained. It rained. They didnt say anything to me so I dont know if they believed me or not.
It does make me spasms worse now but then again, is that because like the bones ache, it causes our messed up nervous system to think we are being injured below injury and are spazing us to warm us?
If you feel it, then I say its real and true. Doctors are not always right I mean, years ago they said all sci's would be dead on scene of accident and once people had a heart attack they died and that was it - no pills/operations would ever be invented.....some of us sci's will never feel anything below injury ever ever again, I guess its like lots of things, it will take one person, to see scientific proof in lots of cases before its believed and I do understand that. Yet farmers are a hardy bread by nature and I think if it works for lots of them, that says something

I'm almost 4 years into this SCI and have been trying to figure out what causes spasms and neuropathy. It seems that when a storm front is coming it makes my legs buzz and tingle but when the rain finally arrives it stops. I live in Florida so cold is not often a problem but legs don't like it! Wonder if they would get used to it? Seems they don't like CHANGE. If I go from the heat to air conditioning that also causes them to buzz. I have an electric exercycle so spasms are not a big problem, but in the morning when I do the first stretch if I touch my belly they buckle up and try to flip me over! This seems weird, but if I eat hot sauce it makes them jump. The good news is...drinking a few good Belgian beers solves the problem.

No it doesnt sound weird some foods make them worse, I havnt found this meself yet a reliable regular long time poster on here said they had the same problem as you with certain foods (cant remember who lol) so i hope this help you a little
I still get embarressed explaing to doctors of me symptoms and i've seen loads of them, like i am talking about me in a fantasy sci-fi movie in me head kind of way.
In sci world weird = normal to us, normal = whats that word mean I forgot ?
And thanks for explaining that you get this even in a warm country, I bet a few readers think that moving to a warm place would help, I did. And I sad to hear this brings no relief for you yet your beer does, cold beer in the sun
