Whenever I take opiates (of any variety) for pain I have a headache...sometimes these meds trigger a migraine..I don't take opiates often but there are times when it seems they are neccesary. I've wondered...do opiates cause sinus pressure or increased cranium pressure..anyone else have this problem?...I've asked the docs and they haven't a clue...

Check your breathing next time to see that it isn't making your breathing too shallow. Lack of oxygen will ache the head.

Opiates will dehydrate you and that can cause a headache. Be sure to drink enough water. Belgian beer seems to be a cure all.
