i chose full body sensation for two reasons: the idea of something being wrong with me and not feeling it scares me a bit. and the other is because full body sensation is really the one thing that nobody can do for you. every quad can have a normal life because almost every sci problem has a solution. being dependent is a pain in the ass but i can live with it, specially if the caregivers are people i like. and i also blame the lack of sensation for ending the relationship i had pre sci.. me not feeling during sex was the only thing that really broke her heart..

Has to be lack of pain (Incomplete C3-7). There is no relief from the pain and it never stops. I know people who would trade me to have the pain but I wouldn't wish this kind of pain on anyone.

I cannot vote as my preference is not on the list. I would first choose to loose the hypertonicity in my torso muscles and bladder. This makes my life quite painful and movement difficult even though I am capable of movement.
I exercise but am often limited when the exercise itself sets up muscle spasms and cramps in the belly and torso that impair breathing. I am so close to being able to work out thoroughly, but it only works on good days, or one in three.

my dsughter would say use of hands and contol her own bowel and blAdder..she has light sensation on 90% of ber body and is a c5 c6 burst fracture incomplete. Waiting for van to get done being modified so she can drive again and get out on her own after she finishes college. She asked this summer if DARS would help her find a summer intern job but her caseworker sat there and told us she can't work until she gets her degree. this is sooo wrong when she would like to work and become independent and not depend on her parents.

I've got everything, but my arms and legs. I can't really do anything without my wheelchair or someone to help, but hands and arms would be great. What's strange though, is that my legs have more movement than my arms.
Someone explain to me why the signal can get ALL the way DOWN there, but pass my arms? I don't get it! Haha.

hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

This is like the old question, "which of your children would you sacrifice, if you had to?"
I don't just want it all back like it was before the accident, let's get creative and make me as physically capable as I was at age 16!
