Your help is urgently needed!! Two minutes of your time can make a difference in Michael Martinez's life. And an extra few minutes to pass this on to your friends will make an ever greater difference.

Jockey Michael Martinez was paralyzed last September in a race has been accepted to the StemCells Inc. clinical trials in Zurich. There is one big problem, he is a Panamanian citizen now living in the US but he doesn't have his permanent residence status yet. If he leaves America, where his wife and daughter live, he won't be allowed back into the US.
His immigration procedure is almost done and is awaiting a final interview which could be three months away but he must be in Switzerland within 10 to 14 days or he'll lose his spot.
I've spoken to his doctor and they're making a special appeal to the director at his immigration office and Senator Barbara Boxer of California.
Please go to the link and you can make a direct appeal to these people to expedite the procedure.
Clinical trials are important to all of us. Please help Michael Martinez.

I received notice from Dr. Selfter, Michael Martinez's doctor, this morning that they are now cautiously optimistic that Michael will get to Switzerland in time for the clinical trials.

Your voices have already had a tremendous impact. Dr. Selfter had this to say, "The publicity is starting to work, but I know that every bit counts and your help will ensure that the requisite pressure is brough to bear to make the US Customs and immigration make the right decision, because they don't do this in response to one call or one person - it takes a wave...We need to keep going till we get the green light."

If you haven't had a chance to send your emails to Senator Barbara Boxer and Immigration's San Francisco Office Director Robin Barrett, please visit www.StemCellsandAtomBombs.blogspot.com to send your message in one simple click.

If you've already sent your emails off, thank you, and now I urge you to write to personally write, call, or talk to three people you know and get them to send the emails.

Every little bit counts.

Hey lonnie,
I got 2 email confirmations, so I'm glad it worked.
Funny thing is, I tried it 4 times.-lol

Yeah, I turned my sprinklers off since Sunday, and it's rained ever since. But it did finally stop this afternoon. It sure is cold still, though.
