I have been really fatigue lately and for one thing I have not been getting a whole lot of rest, but that has been usual, I am feeling like my body is really sending me a message, so thought it is something I should get checked out. I wanted to know does anyone else have problems with this and if so how do you deal with it and how do you deal with not being able to sleep?

I hope everyone is doing okay - Take good care!

Yes, I feel this way often. For me, part of it is that I have Lupus along with a bunch of other problems and the SCI. When I feel like I am getting "lupus" tired, I up the prednisone I take for a few days and it usually helps a lot. I also get fatigued just from doing everyday stuff. I don't remember what the exact figures are, but it takes SCI people a lot more energy to do things. If you can walk, that alone is a major energy buster.
If you have just started getting this tired I would have it checked out. Anemia is another problem that will really sap your energy. Good luck.

If the level of fatigue you are currently feeling is much higher than what you normally feel due to your SCI, then go to the doctor and get yourself checked out to identify the cause. There are so many causes of fatigue you really need to discuss it thouroughly with your doctor.

On the sleeping note, I have insomnia and use lavender oil to settle me down for sleep - it works for me - so just a suggestion (I have chronic fatigue syndrome and the lavender was recommended as a natural therapy to assist me to get to sleep, particularly when I get over-tired). Your sleeping environment will also help, have a comfortable, dark room and try to lay down and relax prior to sleeping and unwind from the day. Another important thing is to regulate your bedtime so that your body learns when it is time to go to sleep.

Hope the doctors find out what is causing the extra fatigue for you.

Only the times when I get 4 hours of sleep in a 72 hour period (which are far too frequent)

Many thanks to you all! I am gonna get it checked out because normally my iron is low, but since I do not have much of an appetite I was wondering if that was some of the problem, but I know it is much worse than usual and sleep seems to escape me, so I believe the fatigued feeling could be a comination of MS and other problem, so I think it is time to get it checked. Again thanks so much for the in put wanted to see did anyone else deal with this kinda thing.
