My guy has a chance at getting one of these vans. We had a look at one the other day and they are seriously cool!!!

The problem is that because of the camber on his wheels, he couldnt get up the ramp and inside! He needs the camber for stability as he does a lot of hunting, fishing and shooting etc, and so goes over uneven ground. Sooo... its either get another chair to drive in, or forget the van!! He has arthritis in his shoulders which gives him trouble transferring in and out of his car, so to be able to drive in his chair would be great!
Any suggestions??
Also we were wondering how others found them. :ranting:

couldn't he look into getting those battery operated wheels to help him up the lift? I just learned of them about 3 months ago. I saw another quad at a rehab in it and his shoulder at blown out. my guy is a c5 and was iin a manual for many years until his shoulders started giving him problems and he needed to be able to get around quicker at work so now he is in an electric wc. I wish they had those Iglides back when he used the manual. Now with his syrinx and much weaker right arm I do not think he could do too much in a manual.

Hi

I'm T10 incomplete and use Kia Van. There are Pro's & Con's.
Disadvantages : [i]Door Opening Access Limited / Height of Veicle to Pavement / Camber of Road

Advantages [i]:
Able to get 4 Kids in Manual Elec Chair / Upper Body Strength allows me to still manage transfers / Kids are quiet cause DVD Player

It fits my requirments for me and my family and have been very happy with it so far.

Cheers

John
