I was working for the Australian Red Cross but am just being a bum right now. I have a degree in geography from University of Colorado which has a huge science emphasis and so I was working on emergency evac planning for all of Western Australia. I'm back in Colorado now and am starting law school in a month on scholarship. I want to do water and natural resources law. In addition to all that I'm also a kids ski instructor. I work mostly with adaptive kiddos (cog/VI impairment like autism, Down's, etc. but also kiddos in chairs/ with mobility problems). I also teach one group of AB kids, they're 6 8 year old girls who are part of a local development program and we ski every weekend for the season. I love my kids and my job. I kind of have my eye out for running the adaptive program winter and summer at our mountain, a good friend of mine does it but got married last year, if she starts a family soon I hope I can step up to help!

I get to fish commercially for a living! We have fished for 40 years before my accident last fall and I really feared I could not get back on the water, but my husband said he could modify the boat for next season so next year I hope to be fishing.

how, you lot of cool peeps, vanessa may please do qualify in spinal injury - we soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo need you doctors in there,so many more patients could be helped.

Esslouis i hope you can sit again one day...pharmasist tech with first hand knowledge of real pain, there a big thing there.

i was a medical secretary for years and qualified welfare rights in disability for carity too (doing dla and incapacity benefit forms.

I was great at me job, and still do many aspects of that job now...i help people but now for free withot the red tape constraints...i also see as any consultants as i worked for now,,,,as their patient lol. And i still listen to me friends who have troble working in health.

Now...i'm retired..i cant sit for any time...but thats ok, i aint shy to say i on benefts..i'd love to get back into charity stuff and 'earn' the benefits in a way but until i get mri results, even thats limited as on bad pain times i have to drug up on clorazenpam and i fit for not much.

hugs xxx

Since my SCI (1982) I have held several fulltime posts as a college/school librarian - not always been easy and after nearly 30 years I am thinking of retiring and allowing myself some quality time.

I'm a computer repair technician and book keeper for a business I co-own with my husband.

I also work part time as a 3D modeler and texture/concept artist for a small video game studio, but no money. Just fun.
3 doctors diagnosed me with hysterical paralysis (weee!), 1 diagnosed an incomplete T7, another T2 and the last (and most accurate) T5. Trampolines are BAD. Sleep is unpredictable. And never kiss strangers. Life has moved on.

I work for the Missouri Division of Workforce Development, mostly one on one with dislocated workers, youth and vets. In my spare time, for extra cash, I buy and sell guns, do minor repairs/customizing/maintainence on them and load custom ammunition. I also help out on the farm from time to time with the horses and cattle....

During the spring and summer I work events such as concerts, school graduations, and Motocross. I am currently looking for a second job.

I'm a project manager consultant for a software development company. I'm able to work full-time and am working three days a week at home and the rest of the time in the office. The days in the office are long because I have to pack lunch, wear business attire, drive to the office and then reverse the activities at the end of the day. I've worked up my stamina to manage it fine, though. In my spare time, I design ads for a dog magazine. Mostly for fun!
