I had spinal fusion 2 weeks ago and have been taking Tramadol for pain relief. I have been sweating profusely day and night. I am 41 years post imjury, and the surgery was for addressing the Charcot Spine I've been dealing with for a number of years now. I'm switching over to Ibuprofen as it seems to help the pain as effectively as the tramadol, and I'm hoping to see a lessening of the sweating.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar reaction with the Tramadol.
Thanks, Erich

I started taking Tramadol about four weeks ago. Do not have problems with sweating however question it's effectiveness.

I have been taking TRAMADOL for years and the sweating went away after a short while. Remember that TRAMADOL and IBUPROFEN work in very different waysTramadol stops the brain recognisng pain Ibuprofen acts at the site of the pain as an anti inflammatory. You can take them in combination.

I find the Tramadol works best for nerve pain and Ibuprofen for muscle and joint pain , in combination I find they really help.
