I was injured in 2005 (L2 incomplete) through no fault of my own and over the last few years a lot of people have helped me get back to having a life as good or better than I had pre injury. I just want to give something back so ......

On the 2nd July 2011, I am doing something that is hard and dirty. I have entered the Great London Swim, the challenge is to swim1 mile, in River Thames water

This is going to be a big task, I've been learning to swim since christmas and this will be a big test, I have only ever swum in a heated swimming pool, the london docklands is just a bit different, to add to that i am terrified of fish, so I hope the pike go elsewhere that day.

I am rasing money for a charity called Disability Snowsports UK, they are a small chairty that help disabled people enjoy skiing and snowboarding, they will take anyone and get you into the mountains, allowing you to feel free again. Over the past few months they have taught me to ski, I now had the adrenalin buzz back into my life and feel like I am living rather than just existing.

If you are able please help me out rasing some money, I am trying to raise £500, think about it you are dontating money to have me splash about in cold, merky, dirty water for an hour and a half, lovely

Thank you very much

Ann
