Hi All,
I have myself a bit of a problem, in that the skin on my butt in very sore, or should I say stinging like hell. Looks like the beginning of skin break down. There is a little red spot that is just off the area with the bony area is... At any rate I have been reading about how tea Tree oil is supposed to be really good for healing these types of skin problems
In the past I've used this oil for skin irritations on other parts of my body, and it clears it up really fast. But when it come to my butt, I'm somewhat hesitant, as the last thing I need is to irritate and cause more problems back there... So if any of you guys out there have every used this product, please reply, as I would really like to know if it does infact help without causing any further problems
Regards

I've been lucky to have never had a skin issue in 24 yrs. I have used Tea Tree oil on scrapes and it worked very well. I would try it if the skin isn't broken. A friend on here told me she used Medihoney. Her name is Shan .You could PM her and get it straight from her. Try googling it also. I hope you can clear it up fast.

I haven't had a situation similar to yours, but I often have used tea tree oil for other problems..
Tea tree oil is great for skin problems caused by fungi, bacteria, or any such things.. I don't think it would help for pressure areas, besides the effect of rubbing/massaging which increases circulation, and keeping the skin from infection.. I would definitely not recommend putting it on broken skin though..

Agree. It might very well irritate broken skin. Risky.

I would recommend Microsyn Wound & Infection treatment. From the beginning (redness) up to a Stage IV pressure ulcer, Microsyn is great for treatment and has absolutely no side affects.
Good luck.

Hi Guys,
Well I decided last week to give the tea tree oil a try, and I must say that it did pretty good. The red spot is not there anymore.
The spot where it was is now only slightly pink... What I did is, when I got up in the morning I dabbed some on, and when going to bed I dabbed some on.
I just like to say thanks too you all for your input..
Cheers
Marty
