hi fellow gimps! i'm a c 6/7 quad and have been injured since 1986. i was in a roll over hydroplane accident and it took hours for the paramedics to get me out of the car in the pouring rain. that definately wasn't my day. but alas life goes on!

Come to Christchurch!!
There's plenty to see, Ancient ruins are as out of fashion as button's on electronic devises.
Modern ruins are where it's at..
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me, "Smile and be happy, things could be worse." So I smiled and was happy and behold things did get worse.

Ags

I realised you were west coast, thats why I suggested your east coast :-)

Overseas? Thailand, Bali, Fiji?? New Zealand is fab but south islands a bit cold now.

What do you want to see/achieve? Different culture? Or just a new fresh place?

Sydneys getting a bit chilly at the moment, but what about Cairns/Port Douglas/Daintree/Gt Barrier Reef and its surrounding area?

In 2000....."Melbourne was warm and very 'walkable' in terms of its topography and size. The Rialto Towers provide great city views by day or night (plus a pretty good movie on Melbourne). The SouthBank area (on the Yarra river) is a good place for eating and strolling, with a great vibe on a balmy summers evenings as city workers hold informal parties on the banks and watch friends rowing or cycling by. The SouthBank development extends a long way down into the Crown Casino complex for those seeking late night entertainment. Shoppers or bargain hunters might enjoy the daytime Victoria Street Market, a huge undercover collection of stalls selling clothing, gifts, food, and household items. Sportspersons will also appreciate, as we did, the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and the Tennis stadium (home of the Australian Open). The Chinese (some great restaurants) and Greek Quarters are also worth a visit although they can be tricky in places with a wheelchair. Melbourne pitches itself as the “cultural” centre of Australia, and we would probably agree with that.".....

G'day,
Great to see you decided to holiday in Aus, so many great places to visit and see in this vast country of ours, I can't imagine ever wanting to go O/S. We travelled from home in Central QLD to Brisbane and Gold Coast Hinterland in March the Hinterland was amazing and everyone so friendly and accommodating, we found this amazing cafe run by a huge italian/aussie who blends his own coffee, I don't drink coffee but my better half was hanging out for one so I went in there to get it for him (not w/c accessible), the big italian/aussie is like "mate, come back in an hour and I'll have a ramp knocked up for you", and sure enough he did, that is the aussie spirit we love.
DFO (Direct Factory Outlets) are great for clothes at good prices, especially those cool elastic waisted surfie pants that work great for everyone and there has been some great bargains on Catchoftheday.com.au too.
Have a good one and BTW your site is awesome, you are an inspiration.
