my 25 yr old son has gastroparesis and chronic daily vomiting. after many admissions testing etc. they think it is neuropathic . he takes up to 4 medications for it but they barely help . this is why they think it is coming from brain signal. he had no injury to his head in the accident. unfortunately one admission he acquired a severe decubitus that ended up with surgery, tailbone removal and osteomyelitis. he is on tpn through a port as he cannot even use a g/ j tube for feedings because he will vomit that up. we use it to drain bile but he will even dry heave. does anyone else have this problem??? when the wound heals, (it was 7x7x6 cm ) after surgery, he is going to colorada for a vagotomy to hopefully stop this. the wound is SLOWLY healing. it is 6 mos out, still 4.5 cm deep but 2.5 x 2.5 at opening. i would like any suggestions. also we put medicinal honey to try in the wound in addition to wound vac. he is s/p 3.5 years since accident and abdom pain and vomiting started a year ago. we have seen tons of drs of every specialty. thanks for any suggestions.

My 25 year old son also has daily nausea and weekly bouts of vomiting. Sometimes he can hold it off for a month but the nausea is always there. Lately his bout will come for days. The doctor says it is neurological injuries. He was 100% healthy before his accident in 2008. Wish I knew what to do for him to ease this.

For the wound, I found that iodine straight on it works wonders. Iodine, antibiotic ointment and cover, change 2 to 3 times a day.

For my nasuia which started about a year ago , i have seen nutrtionalist and dietitions to see if they have any ideas . my diet has been changed dramatically as if i was lactose intolerant and glucose intolerant . Also after 20 odd surgeorys i have had to get my GALL BLADDER taken out as the bial gets really sticky which causes pain and nausia . This is because of fasting after each surgoery . My vomiting has been reduced dramatically and i can finally eat one meal a day .
