Hi Dom,

Well done, I bet you are chuffed winning £100.00. Glad you are the type who can win and take it home, so many who visit arcades and betting shops, spend it straight away trying to get the big win, I once lived with a gambling addict. Didn't know until I was in the relationship, his ex-wife told me that when they were called to do the first dance in their wedding, he was no where to be found, he was finally found in the betting shop over the road.

I ended up getting on better with his ex-wife than with him, me and her are still friends and he has been out of my life for 10 years.

I love gardening, and find it so relaxing, while I'm concentrating on my garden I can forget about the rest of the world, and for John it is definately fishing. When I'm in the mood I go fishing also, especially when the mackerel are being caught. I find both activities calming, but I love being in the countryside or at the coast, for me silence is definately golden. The sound of the waves or a stream running through the countryside, is just perfect.

Maria
Wife of an incomplete SCI - level C5/6 - accident lifting boards above his head in work caused popping sensation in his neck and this was the result. He uses a wheelchair part of the time.

Never say never, and definately do not quit, its usually worth the trying in the end.

I like to garden too...I can't do it as much as I'd like, but I can still get lost in it. I've planted a 'living tepee' for my son and his buddy down the road. It's grown with sunflowers...you tie the heads off at the top, once they get tall enough, then interplant those with morning glory...they'll vine up the sunflowers and fill in the spaces. Of course, you have to leave an opening for the door. I think I'm more excited about the tepee than they are.

I love to drive...anywhere....for an ice cream, by the lake, or for no reason at all...I once started driving and didn't stop until I hit Chesapeake Bay (sp?) :)

I also like to paint/draw, but haven't done that in quite awhile. I need to get all my supplies out again.

I'm very much an outdoors type and although I love my garden it's allowed to grow wild. I love the idea of growing a teepee of sunflowers and morning glory even if its just left to grow without being played in.

The grass gets cut but the edges are full of wildlife. I live on the edge of farmland and lots of wildlife comes wandering into our garden. My garden is used as a hedgehog release site for rehabilitated hedgehogs. So I can sit for hours and watch it. I also enjoy photography and taking video recordings of nature.
I look after my own pony but no longer drive him as the roads in the UK are getting very congested and are no place for a pony and trap.

I have lived an extraordinary life and am in the process of writing my autobiography.

Ladypilot, Your property sounds like Heaven! Can't wait to read your autobi.!!

I spend a great deal of time gardening but I live in a high rise so it's all container gardening for me. However my terrace is 30 feet long so I have quite a bit of room to plant what I want. I plant anything from herbs to geraniums and impatiens and currently growing a baby climbing hydrangea for privacy from my neighbors.

I absolutely LOVE going on road trips, especially to the ocean which is only an hour from me, as are the mountains and desert. I thoroughly enjoy cooking and will throw a dinner party for any ridiculous reason (I once did so to celebrate the purchase of my new couch! Hey it made for a fun twist and good excuse to eat some new dishes I came up with) :)

I have been a calligrapher from a very young age and have dabbled with watercolor painting. Currently I am beginning to explore jewelry making, something I've wanted to do for years. I also enjoy singing and have made a few recordings. I'm not very good though so you won't be hearing anything of me ever!! LOL
As well I am currently writing two children's books and working on ideas for a third.

Would it be really pathetic if I said that my favorite thing to do (after the kids are asleep) is getting into bed with a good book??? :badmood:

i dont have a bunch of spare time to do a lot as i have to go to school and on saturdays i go to an all day stage school and on sunday i go to church in the mornings but i spend most of my sunday afternoon shopping. any nights i have free (and dont have to get up in the morning) are spent out with friends, but most evenings after school are spent at dance classes and singing or drama lessons. any spare time after that, i guess i spend with jason.

Me and M do do a lot of movies and are into trying out new sports. Playing basketball has become one of our favorites. i guess you never know what you can do until you try, right!? He tries to get me to use one of his spare chairs so we are playing on the same level. But my level of play for basketball makes a good competition for both of us. if I sat down he would CRUSH ME! I'll try it sometime and get back to you on an amiture's dribbling abilities while sitting...I bet it's going to be HARD!
We're back to a little (hopefully just a little) down time. M has a bruise on his bucket that we're hoping won't become a problem. So back to movies for a little while. We just picked up some board games, so that should fill some of the painful (mentally of course) down time.
We're going to try to make some amusing games out of standing w/ leg braces to help with healing.
Any ideas for that?

I also love gardening. I had to move out of my house after my injury(2 story house) am living with my mom for now. Had the most beautiful tropical backyard, spent all my extra time back there, really miss it. I do alot of container gardening now, hopefully will have a beautiful garden again, living with mom is only temporary.
