I'm mainly starting this thread because I'm an uber-excited loudmouth and have to announce that I am an Aunt! My sister had a little baby girl this morning and when we went to visit everyone had a private meeting without me, concocting a scenario where I'd always be the one holding the baby. My mum desires lots 'n lots of grandkids, and I have to admit... I want one. They are CUTE!

3 doctors diagnosed me with hysterical paralysis (weee!), 1 diagnosed an incomplete T7, another T2 and the last (and most accurate) T5. Trampolines are BAD. Sleep is unpredictable. And never kiss strangers. Life has moved on.

Sorry Hun. Love to help, but I had the knots tied before you were born. :dunno: Why not ask the old man?

haha, oh I actually have asked him once or twice, and the answer is very short. No.

I'm hoping this baby-phase passes. I'm going to smother my cat with love in the meantime.

Man after me own heart. The little brats are tolerable only if you can give them back, preferably before they puke all over you, deafen you, or stink the place out.

Yeah, he mood will pass, but it might take 10 years. Meanwhile your poor sister can use a lot off help.

=) Hubby's getting older and softer towards little things, but yeah, 10 years might be right and we might be able to afford one then. In the meantime, me and little miss are going to have a blast! She is going to be my only niece and I intend on making her feel like the best girl on earth.

She is sooo quiet! She mumbled and whimpered, but never cried, even after the delivery. She just rolls her eyes around and is staring at everyone. Big dark blue eyes and a mess of black hair hiding under that hat, like her daddy. Oh my gosh, I'm obsessed with babies now!

Oh, I hope you keep the baby bug and hope your hubby gives in. They are wonderful and even better when they are your own.

All in perspective GB - you have to love on them first and then they won't do that to you!!:)

Great photos - lovely baby and very proud aunt!

I'm glad to see you enjoy being an aunt so much, and I also hope that with due time, your husband will change his mind.

I also found babies (especially my daughter) quite stressful at times (funny, considering that ME, I'm such a quiet easy-going person, no? must be her father's genes *self-irony*), but your own children are in fact a miracle. It's a very special bond.

If your husband doesn't give in, I'm sure you'll just be the very best uber-aunt ever! :)

Being an aunt is a wonderful experience, you should enjoy all the little girlie things. Get ready to play dress up and being made up. They grow up fast so enjoy every second.

Don't give up on having your own!!
