Zambuk.. Mummy has used it numerous times on me when it looks like I might be starting something..
I think anything that will keep moisture and bugs at bay.. Speak to your pharmacist as well.. They normally can suggest something effective..

hey,
do you get AD? I do and believe sweating symptoms contributed to a sore I have so do the obvious bladder, bowel and toe nail checks, then you can determine whether the skin rash came 1st or as a result of AD if you get it. To preserve the skin you should make sure you wash and dry the area properly but not too vigorously. I would be dubious about applying cream in that area as it would possibly make it too moist. bacteria thrive in warm moist conditions.
I would say the best you can do is monitor it closely keep it as dry as possible and as free from pressure as you can. Before I got disabe'd I used to use a mild antibiotic cream sparingly applied with a cotton bud if I ever had any mild skin irritation called fucidin, fucidic acid. If you have a skin problem in that area then be aware that applying cream with the fingers could get it infected. (but could also applied with non-sterile cotton buds).
if you ge to the point where the skin opens seek tissue viability (wound) nurse intervention as soon as you can as they are best to advise you on such matters and should take over dressing them.
Lessons learned from my own bitter experience of a pressure sore. I never thought in a million years I would get one but I have.
