ok so iam a t6 complete. and below my level of injury i have a feeling of like tingling. the best way to describe it is as if my foot was to fall asleep. that kind of needles stabing feeling. i heard that alot of or eveyone has this. ?? but when i try flexing, the tingling inceases like more rapidly. also, when i do my bowel movment, The stimulation part, i can faintly feel it. so am i still a complete of incomplete??
i was just wondering if the tingling and flexing thing happened to anyone else?

Can you feel your asshole? If you can, your not complete, or so I've heard...Hopefully that's good advice...maybe..

You sound incomplete to me. You don't indicate when your injury was. You may still be in the "recovery" stage.

I have been paralyzed over six years (incomplete). It still feels like my legs and feet have gone to sleep and I have that tingling.

Hello Moto,

Your description sounds a lot like neuropathic pain . Not all scis suffer from it but it is common.
I wouldn't like to guess as to whether you are complete or incomplete based on the information you have given.

Im a T3/T4 complete and I have the same tingling feeling along with a burning sensation, Ive been told it rather common. Also when it comes to stimulation I do believe you have to be able to contract your rectum as if you were trying to hold in a bowel movement in order to be classified as an incomplete. I would ask your doctor if you have any questions about your diagnosis though

I have the same tingling as well as an increase in it when I flex my legs. Also, my legs are hypersensitive to being bumped into, but deeper down there isn't any feeling. And for some reason no doctor has ever explained, my legs/feet are purple.

You're still in the healing phase, so how much stays like it is now, and what changes are going to happen will just have to come as may.

I also get that tingling feeling, especially in my left leg. The way I understand it, it actually proves that there's nerve damage.

I'm not 100% sure where the line is between complete vs. incomplete....but I do know that MANY OF US (including myself)both complete AND incomplete have this constant burning pins & needles sensation.

Hello David,

My little finger on my left hand is like that for the last 44 years. Just recently, the bottom of my left foot feels like that when I stand in parallel bars. When not standing, the foot feels normal. Go figure.
